Intro celebrates its 20th anniversary
Intro is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Between November and February we’ll focus on numerous intimate little concerts. The first weekend of March, we finally celebrate the magazine’s birthday with two spectacular indoor festivals in Berlin and Cologne.
What once started as a fanzine in the picturesque village of Melle-Dratum – with chaos and enthusiasm all around – is now produced with a team of thirty music lovers in Cologne and Berlin every month – maybe a bit more organised than in the early days, more like a real magazine, but definitely with the exact same amount of “Herzblut” as we Germans say. Of course, we did learn something about business plans and strategies in the last 20 years, but in the end this knowledge doesn’t matter. What matters is our love for music and what it does to us. Together we planned a concert series taking you back to the beginnings of Intro. Joining us on stage will be PeterLicht, Modeselektor, Philipp Poisel, Andreas Dorau, Kettcar, Stereo Total, Notwist, Die Sterne, Kraftklub, dEUS, Casper and many more culminating in two spectacular events in March with Maxïmo Park, M83, PeterLicht (Berlin only), Thees Uhlmann, Mouse On Mars, Simian Mobile Disco, Mike Skinner (The Streets) DJ-Set, Little Boots, Matias Aguayo, and Porcelain Raft amongst others.
